When testing some of the wires, what does "infinite resistence" mean, and how do you read it on a digital meter? With the module that I had working in both directions, could my problems be a result of a bad magnet on the slide that the worm gear moves? If I replaced the slide would it send the proper signal to the trim gauge as well as the down limit switch? By the way, I tested the trim gage and it checked out good. I initially thought I could live with this minor inconvience, but upon further testing, I realized that the motor would shutoff properly in the up direction, but would just keep running in the down direction, until I let off the switch. This time the trim would run in both directions, but once again the trim gage still showed full up. I bought a used VTS module off Ebay and put it in the Ski.
So I thought it being winter I would try to mess around and fix the problem. Anyway, When I bought this used Ski, the previous owner told me that the trim would only run in the down direction, and the gage always read full up, just like when you first turn it on. First, I read most all the previous posts on this subject and have learned alot (I think).
